Legal notice
This page sets out who publishes The Working Commons, which company hosts it, on what terms its content may be reused and what information a visit generates.
Publisher
Publisher: The Working Commons, an independent online publication. Articles are researched and written by the editors and published under the publication's name.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
Independence
The Working Commons has no tie to any association, company, public body or volunteer network mentioned in its articles, nor to the project that formerly used the worknets.org domain (see about this domain). It accepts no advertising, sponsorship or affiliate payments.
Reuse
- The texts are original works of the publication. Quotations from reports, books and other sources are identified as such. You are welcome to link to any page; reproducing whole articles requires permission.
- Photographs are reproduced from Wikimedia Commons under the licence stated in each caption and on the credits page; they may be reused under those same licences.
- Names of organisations, products and projects are used only to identify them.
Privacy
The site places no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts. Fonts and images are served from the same host as the pages, so loading a page sends no request to third parties. As the hosting provider, Cloudflare processes the technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the site, such as IP addresses and request logs, under its own privacy policy. The publication does not collect, sell or share any personal data.
Requests
Requests for a correction, an update to a note about a person, the removal of personal information, or a question about image rights are handled by the editors of The Working Commons.
